My 13th Birthday♥

 With a houseful of girls, we rarely need an excuse to dress up, take down the dainty tea cups and whip up a yummy cake! So what better way to celebrate a birthday than with an afternoon high tea?

Kelly let us use her beautiful tea-cups...♥ 

Eclair's on a mirror... such a charming effect... ♥

Mini quiches topped with fresh basil from the garden...

And  a different, but delicious gluten free, almond and polenta cake....

Every one enjoyed a slice....♥

Then our own, private photographer led us outside for pictures... {smiles}

A Dozen Small But Sure Happinesses

Hello again!  Thank you for stopping by♥

My sister Kelly wrote a beautiful guest post at Ponderings from the Inglenook about a dozen small but sure happinesses, and she suggested that I do one too.
I thought that a wonderful idea and so here they are!

 

♥ Snuggling up in bed on a cold and rainy day and 'losing' myself in a good book!

♥ Going window shopping!

♥ Visiting with my friends over a cup of tea or cocoa!

♥ Dressing up and having tea parties with friends and family!

♥ Browsing through secondhand book stores...{whenever I get the chance to do this I usually come     home bankrupt, smiles}

♥ Going to bed when the wind is howling and raindrops pitter-pattering on my window!

♥ Dancing to beautiful soundtracks!

♥ Cooking and creating in the kitchen {I love mixing bits of this and that in a pot and watching it

    become a meal my family will enjoy!}

♥  Watching a good movie with my older sisters and Mom and Dad!

♥ Taking pictures of... well, everything really {smiles}

♥ Gardening with my sister, Kelly!

♥ Trying new teas!

Hello, and welcome!  I am truly honoured that you could stop a while at my little corner!  I hope you will not be disappointed.♥️

I am an old fashioned 13 year old who loves all things pretty and dainty!  Teacups and books are my delight, and writing my hobby! 

Ever since I was able to put words together, it has been my delight to read my sister, Kelly's, blog and every time a new post comes out, I eagerly take a few minutes to enjoy her beautiful pictures and inspiring words.
 

As I grew older I began to wish for a blog myself, and now finally I have the means to create one! 

A blog seems like such a wonderful way  to make new friends, learn new things and chat to people who share similar interests to me!
